I have been having playback issues w/ DVDs. I am running 98.13 (which works great otherwise by the way).

Prior to upgrading I had to use NVIDIA Purevideo video codec , and MPEG audio codec which worked reasonably well as the DVD decoders. The Intervideo codec would play, but during freeze GBPVR upon exit, nor would it hi-light the menu items.

Since upgrading to 98.13, the combination of Purevideo video, and MPEG audo worked but would only display in the upper two thirds of the screen. I thought that this was an Nvidia issue and reinstalled the nvidia decoder w/o success.

I then tried the Etymonix MPEG-2 decoder (trial ver), Elecard and the Cyberlink decoder (from the Ace Codec Megapack). I had to edit the config.xml file to allow the Etymonix to be a choice. At this point things got really screwed up and I could now barely play files any of the dvd video decoders. The Nvidia and Etymonix play but does not show the DVD title menu at all (you have to guess what you are choosing). The intervideo plays but has the continued problem of freezing GBPVR upon exit.

I tried unregistering the cyberlink and the Elecard codecs, and reinstalled the nvidia codec w/o success (it now plays full screen, but continues not to show DVD menus). I also tried to look at the graphedit files in the gbpvr directory. I truely do not know what to do with those files.

Thanks in advanceSmile

I ended up reformating the drive and started over. I do not know why this happened. It now works fine
