Dear all,

That's has happened after the installation of WMP 11...
I have removed that version to reinstall the version 10... same issue!
complete reinstallation of gb-pvr ... same issue
I have uninstalled all old versions of .Net framework

I do not have any additional plugin in that folder.

I got this error message when trying to install the GB-PVR program...

Could someone help me?

Sorry, I'd have no idea on that one. It shouldnt be related to WMP though, unless it changed the Windows 'common controls'.

which plugins do you have installed.
Try removing all plugins first to see if that helps

I think I saw this problem about a week ago. I had to completely uninstall GBPVR, Delete the GBPVR directory. re-install .net2.0 and then install GBPVR.
I think this occured when I was trying to use an ATI TVwonder as a backup tuner. I had installed the software encoder plugin.
look in the event log and see if during boot, windows logs an error about being unable to start any services.

No plugins have been added (unless they are included in the installation procedure)

To azimuth:

Done that already yesterday.
I use an PVR500 on windows XP.

All services are running properly

I noticed that information in the event log viewer
- Faulting application config.exe, version 1.0.2486.27882, stamp 00000015,
faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault address 0x039184e8.
- got also this warning at each boot in the event log viewer
The description for Event ID ( 19011 ) in Source ( MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description;
see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: (SpnRegister) : Error 1355.

and the common error now in config.exe.log
