Quote:I've found this thread which talks about the live tv temp file and its size. Looking at the file it follows this behavoir. Thoughts?
Its normal for DVR-MS files to be created at 6kb, then increment in 97MB chunks until the recording is stopped, then the file truncates down to the real length. What final length does your file end up?

If you press Windows-R (to run a program), then paste \\Gbpvr\livetv\Trading Places_1_20061128_22000010.dvr-ms into the box and press enter, does it play?

Final length is 15 seconds, file size between 4-7mb.

The dvr-ms file from the live tv folder using the path given plays fine with WMP11 after GB-PVR dumps to the main menu (get a "file in use" error if try before).

No problem.

At least I've got client scheduling / recordings viewing working.

Reading up on MUXs on the support thread I thought I'd go ahead and try out the CyberLink MUX to see if it made a difference to the Client Live TV problems.

Leaving all the other settings (like FileSharing, video decoder/render etc) the same I started up Live TV on the Client and I now have Live TV, but with major stuttering Sad

The change of MUX also breaks the ability to playback recordings made. Old, DVR-MS recordings are fine.

Yeah, that version should be ok. Do recordings work for you on the server?

Yes, and on WMP11 on the Client via the shared recordings path.

Did you try switching back to the streaming mode now you're using .mpg files?
