Hi,

I recently bought a Hauppauge PVR-350 and not being happy with winTV I found gbpvr. After downloading it I keep getting an SQLite error which I can't figure out how to fix. I get the error when I start the gbpvr config utility and pretty much anything I do.

I have read the "Sticky: v0.98.13 survival guide" but I was not able to find the ChangeDatabase.exe utility it mentions.

Thanks in advance.

It'd help if you actually posted the error.

If its saying table CUSTOM_TASK not found or something similiar, try copying the empty.db3 file to a file called gbpvr.db3, overwriting any existing gbpvr.db3 if you have one.

Hi Sub,

Thank you for the quick reply. Sorry for not posting the actual error message.

I found this thread (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...lite+error) that has the error message posted and searching through the devnz\gbpvr folders I was able to find the empty.db3 and gbpvr.db3 files in the gbpvr folder. I am running winxp pro w/ sp2 and have the updated .Net Framework 2.0.

I'm not sure I understand as to where to copy the empty.db3 file from to replace the gbpvr.db3 file.

Thank you.

Hi Sub,

I know the empty.db3 and gbpvr.db3 files are in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr but what I don't understand is "how" I am supposed to overwrite the gbpvr.db3 file (with the empty.db3 file) if they are already in the same directory.

Sorry for not understanding what you mean. I just downloaded this program last night and so far the configuration is not very straightforward so please be patient. :o

Thanks again for the help.Smile

you need to make a copy of empty.db3 and rename it to gbpvr.db3. Make sure to leave the original empty.db3 there.

Thank you for the reply Carlito. I got rid of the error by running Changedatabase.exe and changing out gbpvr.db3 with empty.db3. I hope I didn't ruin something by doing that.

Now I am getting a "No tuners found" message when I click on LiveTV in gbpvr. I'll try to find any log files to elaborate on the message and get a screenshot of it also.

I've run the Tuning Assistant and it finds all the channels and they look great in the little screen.

The same channels are found in Zap2it in the Config utility.

reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
