gb-pvr.exe lowered to about 12 to 18% cpu usage from 40+% when i switched it to the straight vmr9 in the config page

Are you referring to transparent the VMR9 OSD is vs the VMR9 Custom one? You could try fiddling the <OSDTransparency> setting in config.xml to make the VMR9 one darker so it looks more like the VMR9 Custom one.
There was actually a bug that was causing the VMR9Custom OSD to be drawn twice, causing it to get slightly darker. This has been fixed in the next release.
nope i was talking about the postions of the channel logo compared to the vmr9
the custom vmr9 osd looks postioned better then the other one. notice the 3 lines of text in each vmr9 version. those picture are croped but should be exatly the right screen size postion wise and does not matter if the tv is set to 1024 or 800

You can probably tweak the overscan settings in the config.xml to get it looking right.

Sorry, I dont know. Its probably something to do with the tv out support on your video card drivers. If you run GB-PVR in a window on the primary monitor, does anything get clipped from the picture?
