tried searching, didn't see anything about this on the forums, but I've encountered a problem when playing mpg or avi's. (i don't know if it occurs on other video files) I do know it does not occur when playing .dvd

When I go to play a video I get a popup box that says GB-PVR has encountered a problem and needs to close We are sorry for the inconvinence and then asks me to send an error report to microsoft.

However, The video/sound plays perfectly under the error box, which i can't move out of the way (no mouse connected to my media center PC)

Any thoughts?

What video decoder do you have set on the playback tab of the config app? I'd try the different options you have listed, rather than relying on 'system default'.

Intervideo NonCSS video decoder. Video/Audio Does not play, Error box still comes up

Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder -- Same results as above ^^

Nero Video Decoder -- Same as above No video audio, error box still comes up.

Those are the only 3 options other than system default

Quote:15:41:11.359 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - Video Renderer 0003
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - ffdshow Audio Decoder
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - App Overlay Source
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - ffdshow raw video filter
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - MPEG-I Stream Splitter
15:41:11.359 VERBOSE - C:\MyVideos\Duckman\Duckman season 1\Duckman - 1x01 - I,Duckman.mpg
Actually, I can see one thing funny in your logs. Directshow is choosing to use the old MPEG1 splitter on your for some reason. I'm not sure why it'd be doing this though.

You could try running the following. If the normal Microsoft MPEG2 Demultiplexer has been deregistered on your machine, then it might help.

regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\mpg2splt.ax

what's odd is it was working fine on my old version of GB-pvr, just kinda borked when i updated to the latest

Think a reformat would help, or is there another solution?
