In previous versions I had an issue that prevented FF/RW from working, necessitating the use of the short skip function instead.
In 0.99.15, this issue seems to be resolved, allowing me to use the normal FF/RW functions from the remote (ATI Remote Wonder Plus), which is great.
Now, I'd like to make a suggestion/request related to this:
With most dedicated DVD players, the fast forward/rewind features work such that consecutive presses of the FF/RW buttons act to increase the fast speed factor. I.e., FF/RW initially starts at 2x normal play speed, but subsequent presses of the button cycle through increasing speed factors -- 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x -- and then back to the inital fast speed factor of 2x.
In GBPVR, it seems that the fast forward/rewind controls are fixed at 2x, and subsequent presses of the button have no effect. Would it be possible to change this algorithm, so that these additional key presses are detected, and simply mulitply the current play speed x2, up to a maximum value of 16?
This would be a great feature, in that the 2x speed is sometimes not useful for advancing or reversing by significant amounts of time, in scenarios where it is desirable to see the program while advancing or reversing, which the "skip" feature doesn't allow.
Thanks,
Don P.
