I've added "My Music" to the wiki and its ready for heavy testing, im sure there are a few bugs in it, but it mostly works, more features will come in the not so distant future. i just want a few more people to start testing it, and giving me feedback on features etc.

Looking good Reven !!

Best Music plugin yet.

Now takes about 5 secs to display 278 objects from main menu on first load.

Is the very very big time display just for the Beta ??

Would really love a PLAY button... Could the playlist and playlists button be combined to make space for play ?

Like the album cover in the bottom left, but notice the title clashes with the GB-PVR logo.

One very slow moment, i keep getting, i selected via album cover the files within that folder (30), it starts playing straight away, but then takes 29seconds to display the playlist, if i go back to file list and then back to play list everything just stop solid for 29 seconds.

Going back to main menu and back to my music, it forgets i had it in icon mode.

In little icon mode, there seems to be a bit of the white background sticking out of the top right hand corner of the cover images.

Noted that drilling down through folders and coming back up returns you to start of the main folder list rather than folder you leave from.

Other than, an absolutely spanking plugin, this one has top wife approval for use on MVP !!!

Further observations...

GBPVR runs around 55,000k memory usage according to Task Manager.

When it runs My Music usage increases to 420,000k !!!

Oddly though, if i select a file to play, it drops back off to around 80,000k.

Also noticed going into my photos increased memory usage to about 120,000k, going in and out of either plugin doesnt reduce usage until an file was selected ?

my pictures has to load all the thumbnails into memory (currently there are 3 thumbnails for each file, one for each view, im going to change this to one large one and just stretch to different sizes. also i will add some code to dispose of things when you exit the plugin and only load things when you enter the plugin (that why my music takes a little longer to load aswell). the memory peak is probably just a hardcore search for a file in every directory/images (but since its a different thread it should be sweet, wont last for long so it should be fine).

i've decided to add a menubar thing at the top with prev,next,pause,play,stop.

every time i enter leave a folder im at the folder, can anyone else verify this bug, i cant fix it if i cant see it.

im aware of the gbpvr logo clash (ive made these plugins against a different skin, sub just wants a default blue skin for every plugin). theres not much i can do, unless someone does some reshuffling of the skin and keeps it looking good, and makes it fit.

DeanB how fast is your computer? everytime you enter a playlist/filelist it searches the id3 tags for the id3 info, ive done test on about 100 files in a playlist and only takes a few seconds on my celeron d 330 (2.6mhz). i was thinking of doing this on another thread, but then the filenames would be displayed and replaced by the id3 tags, and that would just look silly. so i wont do that. ill think about adding an option to display the filename in a playlist since they can get quite large. i was going on the assumption that the maximum number of mp3s in one folder would be 30 (more like 10-20 on average) since the basic/common file structure is artist/album/songs*.mp3 and if you're not using a good file structure, that aint my problem

ive updated "My Music" now build #1.0.1817.33520
a few bugs have been fixed a new feature has been added.
If you are experiencing long loading times with the id3 tags, you can now specify #FILENAME# in the FileList/Playlist Masks in the configuration, if this text is found anywhere in it, it will NOT load the id3 tags and just use the files name minus the extension instead. I recommend using this if you are on a slow machine or have huge playlists.

On test i ran it took about 5seconds to load 250 mp3s on a Celeron D 330 (2.67mhz) with 256 mb ram. which is ok i think. but if you have a slow machine this could take a while.
