Hi,
I am really interested in why the Hauppauge remote doesnt work. I can see that if you are relying on the hauppauge builtin functionality within GBPVR on its own with no other third party applications or drivers that this would behave as you describe.
If you add HIP then this would allow you to setup a key for this, of course thats a lot of messing for playing some games so may be I need to rethink my approach. If you do ever play with HIP please try the close feature.
Like that idea, would mean I can relax more when updating and adding the options to the configuration screen, was there a particular option that I have not yet implemented that you like/need to use? I will see if I can get that done in the next few days, busy on adding different feature at the moment, bug fixes take priority. :-D

I'm using a hauppauge remote, so the exitting is trickier. The remote only sends to the window in focus, and you can only describe the focused window by its windows name (e.g. "GBPVR").
In the case of MAME the window name changes with each game (e.g. "MAME - 1942", or "MAME - Outrun" etc) so it's impossible to get the remote to send an exit command to a generic "MAME" window (other than adding a new entry for every single ROM).
THe only way I've found so far is to assign one of the gamepad buttons to exit, rather than the remote.
On another note for a future feature request, it would be usefull to add a user defined arguments box, in addition to / or overriding the setup check boxes (bit like my programs - sorry to keep comparing them)
