Help converting GBPVR recording to play on ReplayTV

Ok - keeping this short as possible.
1-Record show in GBPVR, .mpg format, not sure what profile or codec used.
2-using Revue, converts mpg to a compatible format DVArchive can play using VLC. Creates 3 other files, .xlm, ndx, and one other plus the mpeg.

3. DVArchive emulates another networked ReplayTV, and can stream video to actual ReplayTV unit. I import the converted file and it plays in DVarchive using VLC.
4. ReplayTV plays streamed file from DVarchive, but pixelated on 1/3 of the screen, blank on the rest.

Somewhere the comverted file isn't compatible with ReplayTV.
What should I be recording it as?

I dont really know the programs you mention - but if youre just streaming shows, is there a reason you cant use gbpvr's own webadmin??? - then no need to do all the reencoding/translation in the first place

Basically I just want my ReplayTV to playback GBPVR recordings.
GBPVR is in 2nd floor bedroom and ReplayTV is on first floor.
ReplayTV cannot see GBPVR, and doesnt have a broswer.

Why don't you use GBPVR all the way? It has the feature to stream recorded material via EWA and would be less of trouble to combine two different way of doing the same thing.

I have a batch file that converts all my gbpvr recordings to replay that is launched from the postprocessing.bat file. According to rtvtools the format needs to be..

Code:

MPEG-2 files should have the following attributes:
Resolution:   any valid MPEG-2 width, 480+ height
Framerate:    23.976, 29.97 and 59.94
Bitrate:      2-8Mpbs CBR/VBR
Audio:        48KHz @ 112-320kbps, MPEG-1 layer II

The only change I remeber making to gbpvr recording profiles was setting the audio to 192kbps. Although by looking at the above suggested settings I do not know why but I am sure I did it for a reason.
