Do you have the latest version of the Community Skin? I don't see what is causing the error with not finding the composite image.

Here is what is in the latest version for this plugin (I did change one minor thing but that was only to match something minor vs. the blue version).

idkpmiller,

I changed my skin from 'Basic' to 'Blue', and now I get passed the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error, but now when I click on a actual Mame game (which are zip files), I get a DOS box popup and disappear. Is there a log file that I should be looking at?

Jason.

Hi Jason do you have your Config setting under MAME set to "Game Specific"
If it's set to default.cfg or gamezone.cfg and they don't exsist you'll get this happening!

Let me know how it goes.

Going great, still have to get around to the PSX emulator. In mame the game name list is excellent, so much better than just the rom names which makes a large collection hard to use (btw was it the listinfo.txt that you needed for that?)

Thanks for your error report.

I have attached what I believe to be a fixed plugin for you to try. copy the GameZone.DLL into your plugin directory and restart GBPVR.

The error will only affect people that have never had ePSXe or Gamezone installed prior to GameZone v0.23

If this fixes the issue then I will update the wiki version.

Thanks

THanks for the patch. Should say that I think I'm through the first road block. I see the rom trying to load, before crashing. Now I'm having trouble just running a MAME rom. I have used easymame before, but can't for the life of me figure what I need to configure with your plugin...

Just for a test, I'm trying to get Frogger working with the MS Sidewinder gamepad.

I suspect this is actually not you area of support... But if you have a pointer, I'd appreciate it..

Thanks

That fixed it. It works fine with the Community skin now.

Thanks,

I used the -listxml option if you look in your gamezone/mame/ directory you will see the outputfile which is a 26MB xml file! This is parsed into an access database (in the /gamezone directory) which provides a few other item other than the text which I hope to use at a later date, feature such as view by year, it is the database that is actually providing the descriptions to be displayed in the file list.

The screen shot that Jason kindly provided should put you on the right path. as for the gamepad with the config option set to "game specific" this means that when you launch your game press the TAB key and then configure the controller input within the game.

Hope that helps

I have seen the issue around the config setting within Mame cause issues in the last two releases.

So could people (particularly new users to Gamezone) try this version of gamezone (just copy gamezone.dll to your gbpvr/plugins/ directory) I have added some checks for likely user configuration issues to the Mame tab on the config applet and would like your opinion, I have also added tooltips (messages that pop-up when you hover your mouse over a control.

Please let me know if this is a step in the right direction for people unfamiliar to GameZone or if its over the top, no use what-so-ever etc...
Or there are mistakes that you feel I should catch that I am missing, currently just on the Mame Tab and just in the configuration application.

Thanks
