I am using GBPVR 0.99.5 and a wired MVP. The MVP works great. I can do everything with the MVP that I do with the regular GBPVR PC, except access network directories. The MVP IP and subnet are within the range needed to access the network PCs and directories. The GBPVR PC has no trouble accessing the network directories. What do I need to do to access them through the MVP?

Could it be that the user running the REcorgdingService does not have read access to the Network drives?
That was a problem I was having. I actually run the service under a specific user rather than the System account.

This is the solution. Change the recording service to run under a user account rather than local system and it should work.

- From the start menu, select 'run'
- Enter 'services.msc'
- On the window that opens, scroll down for GBPVR Recording Service.
- It should say: Status - Started, Log on as - Local System
- Double-click and then click on stop (note that this will stop any recordings you may have in progress)
- On the second tab, deselect 'local account', and select 'this account'
- Enter the name and password of your account. You can use your windows login and password.
- Go back to the general tab and ckick on 'start'
- Close the services window.

That should do it. Good luck.

I think I figured it out. I went into services under Programs --> Admin Tools and changed gbpvrrecordingservice.exe to log onto "this account". Now it shows it logging on to the Windows account name. It now has access the network directories. Thanks.

You replied before I figured it out but I hadn't seen your post and I replied before refreshing.
