There are a few utilities out there that you can use without changing grabber, but it will require some effort from you Wink

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...elLogoTool
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/ChannelLogos

There may be more, but I can't find them right now.
I'm not always right

You only need to get the icons once. When they're in E:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media\ChannelLogos then they will automagically appear in the listings etc.
If you're stuck PM me an email address and I'll send you the ones I have - less than a meg zipped up.

Do you know a simple EPG grabber that will grab the logo element too.

Thanks

Pete

UK EPG grabbers are a bit hard to come by - There seem to be some legal issues regarding the copyright - one would think that broadcasters would want you to know what was on but hey what do I know Big Grin

Anyway looks like Stefan is on the money with some pointers - Is he never not online??

Can i ask a reated question, following on from the original poster i have changed fom Bleb to use XMLTV but it doesnt give me listing for all the channels. These channels are ones where the name that GBPVR holds is different to the listsings guide, So GBPVR holds 'BBC One' but Radio Times has 'BBC 1'.

I noticed in another thread that Sub said the channel name can't be changed. Are other users having the same problem? Is it possible to combine XMLTV and Bleb?

Thanks.

Not sure I know what you mean, but GBPVR will have to be able to map your EPG to the frequencies by matching the channel name. IIRC you'll need to remove the channels in config then update epg (don't forget to write down any settings you need first!)

Cheers elite, you made me think logically about it. I had just been trying to update after changing the RPG source. But after deleting the capture source, re-adding and then getting a fresh lot of EPG data it then allowed me to map to these channels. Didn't realise it got the chanel name from the peg data, it's just being working as it was for so long i forgot in the past i must have had to tell it which was which.

Anyway all solved it seems. gbpvr is working better than even for me now.

Hi,
I`ve just put the gif files where martin said "E:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media\ChannelLogos " and hey presto I have channel logos in my listing.

Thanks to all, for the advice.

Fray Bentos:
You could try XMLTVGUI with the channel name mapping script that I wrote for it. It specifically overcomes the channel name problems in the UK (freeview) and does the mapping for regional name confusion like "BBC 1 North West" being translated to "BBC ONE" as transmitted on Freeview. You can find these on Alan Birtles Web site. The configuration file I supplied is for the north west region but it is easily changed for other regions.
