Alright guys and girls in a word here is the problem... wires... So the back of my computer has become a jungle of wires so I had the brilliant idea of trying to clean it up by going as wireless as possible so here is what I'm running.

1. I have coax coming out of the wall and right into my cable modem tucked into a corner.
2. Right on top of the cable modem is my linksys wireless (802.11b, ugh so wireless is turned off) router. So the coax into the cable modem and the cable modem into the router.
3. Now pluged into the router I have 3 things:
a.) Vonage Box
b.) Airport Express (802.11 g wireless router for anyone who doesn't know)
c.) Media MVP

Then on my computer I have the coax plugged into my Hauppage PVR-250 card and I have a 802.11 g wireless LAN card.

SO... after all that down to the problem...

On my Tv which is connected to the Media MVP it just flips back and forth between contacting DHCP server and Contacting MediaMVP BootServer.

My computer is connected to the internet so everything must be pulling a ip address but how come my computer can connect to the MediaMVP?

Thanks!

Dubya

p.s. Merry Christmas Everyone! Don't forget to throw some cash in for Sub!!!

Here's a update... so I read a article on how the mediamvp and server computers have to be on the same subnet... so I did a switcheroo on some of the ip addresses and now the mediamvp is stuck on the "Loading Application" Window...

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Ok so problem solved.... I upgraded to MediaMVP ver 2.2... then went into the windows services and turned off the mediamvp services and voila... back in action...

So if anyone is having problems setting up your mediamvp over a wireless network drop me a line... I'd be happy to help you out.

ttyl,

Dubya
