GameZone v0.23 released

I'll have to give this plug-in a shot! I went thru updating my emulators yesterday so what better way to test them out!

One thing I wanted to point out that I found really helpful is a program called Phatsoft JoyMouse. It allows you to turn your gamepad/joystick into a workable mouse by pressing a desired button on the pad. I use my wireless gamepad to control the MAME/Emulator programs (loading and selecting ROMS). Comes in pretty handy when you don't have a keyboard or remote handy. It can be found at CNET's download page.

Is anyone else having problems running other emulators; such as ZSNES, jNES or Fusion; that were setup in the MyPrograms plugin?

If you could provide the specific emulator file, these are located in the /gbpvr/gamezone/myprograms/ directory as well as the gbpvr/logs/gbpvr.exe.log that would be useful.

I figured out what the problem was. I'm not sure if you want to fix it, but I think it would be cool if you did. I have all my roms organized alphabetically by folder and it seems that the plugin doesn't look in sub-directories for roms. Let me know if you can fix this, or else I'll re-organize my roms.

Now frogger and many other roms, in the similar vane work, but a couple won't, although they work with easymame.

I'm not sure if you want this to be a support forum for MAME, so I'll just list a couple of roms that aren't working...

galaga3.zip and pacman.zip. (mspacman.zip works fine...)

Also, to get the other roms to work, I had to turn off switch resolution and have aspect set to 'none'...

Edit: something I have noticed on all the roms that do play, is it is only for a short period of time, like two three minutes. I get to play a round or two and then it dies.

A couple of things to think about/try.

if you look in the config.exe.log file you will see a line similar to this:

INFO [1] GameZone: Mame launched C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\MAME\Mame.exe "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\MAME\roms\galaga88.zip" -skip_gameinfo -sleep -triplebuffer -joystick -ctrlr gamezone


This is the command line that is being used to launch the game with mame, you can test this by using the command line to launch the same game and see if an error is returned

The next thing to consider is concerning the fact that the game only lasts two or three minutes before closing, as a safety net if another plugin snatches focus from gamezone then gamezone will quit the emulator and return you to gbpvr. I have noticed that taking this stance does cause a problem with the callerID plugin as it wants to display the callerid log whenever a call comes in, this throws my kids out of a game when ever anyone calls. If you have a think about it or maybe examine the logs you should find that a plugin or event is happinging on a regular basis. let me know what you come up with and I will then see if I can tackle it.

This isn't so much a specific probelm but I am wondering how would I go about setting up other emulators in gbpvr and having them all show under gamezone. I'm fairly new to the pvr world and having a little trouble finding information needed. Thanks for any help. If this is the wrong place to ask I apologize in advance
