Hi,

I'm having a problem with DVDs burned using ShowBurner2 after I've run comclean on the source MPG file. Any MPGs that I haven't run comclean on burn to DVD using ShowBurner2 and work fantastic (Thanks pBS!). So, I'm just wondering if there is an inherent problem with using ShowBurner2 on "comcleaned" MPG files. The resultant bad DVDs are off wrt audio sync and are very jerky wrt video. I've tried 3 different files and all exhibit the problem. However, the source "comcleaned" MPG file plays fine in Windows Media Player. I thought I had read a post where someone was successfully using ShowBurner2 with "comcleaned" MPG files... not certain though. I'm using GB-PVR v0.99.5, ShowBurner2.5, comskip79_59 and comclean_0_0_6.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

try the mencoder method of cutting using comskip .edl output files...worked better for me...the4 timeline is messed up with comclean, it doesn't 'fix' it to be a continuous timeline...[leaves gaps as is]
mencoder can be forced to re-index the file, recreating the timeline..
at least they come out cleaner for me...

i'm guessing any program you burn them with that doesn't re-compress wil act same..

OK, I will give that a try. I had a feeling it was something inherent in what was done by the comclean processing... I was just hoping not. :-(

Thanks for the help!

I have been using comcut and I don't seem to have any problems with burning DVDs with showburn.

Yes. I found ComCut myself and starting using it. It works great (since it demuxes and remuxes the streams, fixing the time jumps where commercials used to be)! Sorry. I should have posted an update here about it some time ago. I've been using it for a little while now and I'm really happy with it.
(Thanks NiteShdw!) Smile
