Can I run gbpvr on a PC running windows xp media center?

Sorry for the newbie question but I tried to use the search function on here but no luck. Couldn't find a way to search for multiple words.

I plan on installing gbpvr and using it instead of Windows Media Center but I was wondering if it would cause any problems. Or do I need to get a copy of Windows XP Home.

You can run GBPVR on a Media Center Edition PC.
You may need to stop some media center services from running though.
