Hi all. I applaud your patience with those of us who are just starting out with GB-PVR.

I have just downloaded the program and am trying to configure an AverMedia DVB-T Mobility P300. I have read other topics, and have heard about needing to use graphedit in order to edit the bda.ini, so that the configuration settings will recognise this hardware is the configuration program.

Where am I able to get hold of graphedit? How would this addition be made? Will I need to do some research into finding the further settings? Where could I find this information?

It's probably obvious I'm quite in over my head with this, but am looking forward to reaching a point where I am able to follow the support section. Thanks!

Check the left hand menu on http://www.shspvr.com/

I have never had to do this, but I am under the assumption that if you open bda.ini with notepad or something like that, and get graphedit to "talk" to your card, then it's fairly straightforward to figure out what information to add to bda.ini. If (when Wink) you succeed, please post your results to sub, so he can add it in the next release.

I tried to play around with bda.ini in Notepad, but when it comes to receiving information in GraphEdit I don't have a clue where to start. I "Insert Filter" and found "BDA Source Filters" - is that where I'm supposed to be going?

I have no idea. Someone else will have to help you on this one. Or if you can find info on this board. Did you try a search on "graphedit"?

Thank you for your help sub and stefan.

I uninstalled everything, and then installed only the driver on the CD without all the woeful software. I then followed the directions, and synched Graphedit's BDA information with the bda.ini. I tried both GraphEdit's recommendations, and also your support article's recommendations for if the "If you only have a filter name is listed in both the Receiver section in GraphEdit, use the following bda.ini entry instead" because I wasn't certain what that meant.

For both attempts, I received the following error message:

What exactly did you add to bda.ini?

Also reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log

I suspect the second one is correct.

You'll need to go in and select your correct card though, your logs show you currently have the 'Hauppauge Nova-S' selected, which is obviously not what you've got.

Good point! I deleted the other option and then saved the 'Try 2' to my source set-up. I received the same error however.
