Not sure if this is a HDHomeRun or gvpvr? But I thought I would start here.

Just upgraded to the latest version of the BDA driver with dual tuner support. Configured both tuners in gbpvr and I can watch live tv with no problems. When I try to record a show, I can see the hdhomerun light up, but I only end up with a 2k file.

I think the problem relates to trying to use an incompatible version of the Intervideo MPEG mux. If you switch to the DVR-MS mux, then it should work.

What is the best MUX to use with the HDHR?

I've tried using the MS-DVR MUX but for some reason the playback source resolution is being reported as down-scaled in my media player. I tried using the "TS" but GB-PVR wouldn't switch channels when recording. I'm now using the TS MUX and it seems to be working fine.

Most US ATSC users seem to need to use either the DVR-MS mux or the TS Mux to get good results.

I'm using TS-Mux but I'm having a heck of a time building a graph that works and provides smooth seeking for all channels I'm capturing. Is there any disadvantage to using DVR-MS over TS Mux?

Is there a reason why when I tried using "TS" GB-PVR would refuse to change channels when starting recording? LiveTV would work fine.

Nothing springs, I suppose the TS mux option is a little less prone to remux errors that can occur (since no remuxing is done with TS Mux).

Are you talking about the 'TS Mux' option or the other transport stream mux option? Dont use the other transport stream option - its just something I use for my testing. I've hidden this other option in the next release to avoid any confusion about it.

I'll give DVR-MS another try as I only gave it a quick try when I first installed. The one thing I noticed with my quick trial is that my DirectShow player wasn't reporting the resolution correctly when playing back a DVR-MS. I didn't really investigate if it was a reporting error or if it was reporting the correct resolution. It sounds like the DVR-MS format might resolve my seeking issue, bad assumtion?

I'm having the same problem as jagaholic reported. I've tried using DVR-MS (which is what the program defaulted to) but I only get two filse: a 4KB and a 6KB one. I've tried recording using all the various BDA multiplexer options, like InterVideo, Transport Stream, TS Mux, SS, etc., but all my files are either 0 bytes (for .TS and .MPG) or the 4KB/6KB for .DVR-MS files.

Running the MuxChecker shows that I have:

Quote:GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: InterVideo Multiplexer
FILE: C:\Program Files\InterVideo\Common\Bin\ivimux.ax
VERSION: 3.0.88.0

but from reading this thread it looks like I should not use InterVideo.

Watching live TV works like a champ, it's just recording that doesn't work for me. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
