Okay to set the stage, I've just updated from 96.12 to 99.05. I know thats quite a gap, but I just haven't had time. I updated to .net 2.0 and installed, then put in a bunch of new plugins I've wanted to try.

Now every time I start GBPVR with plugins enabled, I get a hard windows cancel. If I uncheck 'Plugins Enabled', everything starts fine and I don't get a cancel.

I've even tried unchecking all non-included plugins with 'Plugins Enabled' checked and it still cancels.

My logs follow.

Check!

Any other ideas?

One last thing. I can still navigate around in GBPVR with the error message up. As soon as I do something with it (either send it or cancel), GBPVR shuts down.

I did up top, but here's a new set. I found one plugin that was bad and removed it completely, but I'm still getting the cancel with the 'Plugins Enabled' option checked and only GBPVR-included plugins selected.

Given you'd also said you'd upgraded all the plugins after that, there didnt seem much point in looking at the old logs.

What does the error message actually say?

Its the standard Windows error "GB-PVR has encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Clicking on the 'What data does this error report contain' link gives this:

EventType : clr20r3 P1 : gbpvr.exe P2 : 1.0.2547.35214 P3 : f
P4 : mscorlib P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 4333ab80 P7 : 32ed P8 : 10
P9 : system.objectdisposedexception

Its got a partial memory area dump in there as well, but it won't let me copy/paste that.

I seem to remember one or more of the MyXxxx plugins was never made compatible with .net 2.0, and is the most likely cause of this, so you may have to remove their .DLL from the plugins directory. I keep thinking MyPictures, but there may have been at least one more.

Those MyXxxx plugins which did have .net 2.0 version were not updated on the GB-PVR wiki also, since the author only wanted them on his web site. He has now abandoned work on them, and no longer offers them on his website, so you'd probably be better off removing them.
