However the Mainland has decided to go for something called DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) developed by "Beijing Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University". Perhaps so they don't need to licence DVB-T or have folks buy existing DVB-T products or maybe it really will be better .... Have you heard anything about this magic standard? ... not that they all have HDTV TV's in China although they produce a lot of them for Samsung, Hitachi etc etc etc...I have read a couple of news articles mentioning it, but I dont really know much about it yet.
k.
[EDIT]Apparently PCCW here are supposed to be putting out HDTV via DSL, but my decoder is not one of the new ones ... probably waiting for the new DTT standard too ... testing until July 2007 :-(
Its funny they'd call it DTT though, since that term is often used for DVB-T also.
