I've already reported this to Sub during beta testing but I'm just wondering if anyone is having problems with comskip in the new release?

It appears that comskip has stopped working for me since I've upgraded. I have comskip 0.41

I've noticed this as well. But to be honest comskip works, the cut points are generated. However, gbpvr doesnot read the file... This happens with both version 0.6 and 0.63 of comskip.

That's right. I'm seeing the comskip files, it appears that GBPVR is just not reading them.

Can you guys email me some of the comskip files that have been generated? Email them to me at support@devnz.

For what it's worth-I had a show that was recorded last night and ComSkip ran fine, generated the .txt file and the MVP client played the file this morning just fine. Blue button brought up the timeline and the commercials were indicated correctly on the OSD. The only problem was that pressing the "Play" button while the video was playing, did not skip to the next commercial point. Pressing "0" and "Skip" did advance to the next commercial point.

Yes, works fine here as well. The play button only works when in a commercial break.

There must be something slight different about these comskip files, which are possibly generated by a different version of comskip than I'm running.

Are you saying that pressing "Play" while video is playing and pressing "0" and "Skip" behave differently? And that's by design?

My test was with ComSkip v.63.

Yes, thats by design. The play button will only skip once the ads have actually started. I found it too easy to press play at the wrong time. Its not as easy to press "0" "skip" accidentily

Hi all,

As the forum is a little dicky at the moment and I can't register in order to add a new post I will have to reply and hope someone has a look at this thread and knows the answer.

I have been looking around for a good PVR problem and came across GBPVR last night. All i can say is wow! It seems to have all the functionality I need. I have a PVR350, Redrat3, a radeon 9200 for TV out, telewest cable and I live in the UK. No other PVR software seems to come close.

So .... I have installed it and solved a few problems (enabling the PVR350 for hardware encoding on playback causes the CPU to max out). I am trying to get the Redrat working.

i have enabled redrat as the channel changer and added a device profile for my telewest remote. I have changed a few channels to the correct numbers to test (i.e. BBC1 - 101).

When I start up the GB-PVR, go to the TV Guide, click watch now for one of my channels the Redrat doesn't change the channel.

As you can see from the log, it thinks it's sending the signal but the light on the box does not indicate it's getting a signal.

Any ideas?
