Hi,

liteswap Wrote:The problem is that the listings repeat and kind-of scroll round so that there's always seven rows of listings, when really, I only need four. Can this be fixed, please?

this behaviour is intended by design of the tvlistings plugin. But there's a simple workaround: just limit the number of visible channel rows in the guide to 4. This can be done by modifying the skin.xml file of the plugin. Assuming you're using the default "Blue" skin, you will need to locate the following line:

Quote:<SpecialElement name="Guide" loc="120,80" size="540,280" visibleChannels="7" guideMinutes="120" scrollMinutes="60" showNavigation="false" borderWidth="2" showStatusColor="false" showStatusIcon="true" brightenCurrentShowsPercent="16" />

Change the value of the attribute "visibleChannels" to the number of channel rows you'd like to see. You will also need to change the height of the whole guide by changing "size="540,280"" to "size="540,160".

I think that the "community skin" also provides pre-defined skins for a different number of channel rows, but I'm not sure.

Hi,

I just installed the TV Listing plugin.
When I push the 'TV Listings' button, for some fraction of a second
some shows appear, but then they disappear and I see no shows at
all on my screen (only the channel logos and the date/time bar).

I am still using the access database, because when calling 'ChangeDatabase'
I loose all my EPG data and I cannot recreate them by now because
since a few days the xmltv 'tv_grab_de_tvtoday' is broken ...

Do you have any idea about the cause of my problem?

It seems that your database contains corrupt data somewhere, and so both the plugin and the "ChangeDatabase" tool fail. I would suggest a clean install of the latest releast of gbpvr, which will use the sqlite database by default.

If you want me to have a deeper look of what's going wrong, I will need your log-files of gbpvr.exe, and also the log files of the ChangeDatabase utility.

alibert,

I've noticed in the last few days that sometimes when I bring up TV Listings, the yellow outline does not appear. If I press the arrow buttons, the program information on the bottom changes. And if I hit the OK button, the program information window appears. The only way for me to get the yellow outline to reappear is to close GBPVR and restart it.

I'm not at my HTPC, so I can't get any logs, but I wanted to throw it out there to see if you knew of anything that would cause this.

Thanks.

sorry, I don't know what you mean by "yellow outline". Could you please try and explain your problem in another way, or maybe post a screenshot?

Sorry, I went back and read what I typed and see that it was confusing.

I'll try to get a screen shot the next time it happens. But I'll try to explain it a little better now.

The cursor, which you move around with the arrow keys to select a particular show has a yellow outline (I believe it is yellow), and is highlighted someway to show you where the cursor is in the guide. Occasionally this outline and the highlight will not show up and I have no way to tell where the cursor is in the guide. I have to exit GBPVR and restart it for it to show back up.

This image in the wiki has the highlighting I am referring to, but not the yellow outline:

Like I said, I will try to get a screenshot the next time I see it.

Thanks.

Hi,

I think that I've understood what you mean, thanks.

The behaviour you have described may happen owing to unfortunate circumstances. I've seen it once before here, and the reason was that I had multiple programmes on the same channel in the same timeslot in my guide. Maybe it already helps if you do a complete epg reload.

I'm trying to use the tv listings plugin, but every time I try to start it, a box pops-up with this error:

"the type initializer for 'GBPVR.TVListings.Listings' threw an exception"

please zip and attach your logfiles and I will have a look. Ensure that your loglevel is set to "debug" first.
