What version of the drivers are you using? These seem to use different names than I've seen before.

Actually, looking at that filtercheck output, it actually looks like some major hardware change as well. The Hauppauge PVR USB2 used to be kind of a 'PVR250 in an external box connected by USB', but now seems to be a PVR150 type device instead.
You could try adding the following to direct.ini: [Hauppauge WinTV PVR2 USB2 (AVS)] INIT_MODE=ECP INIT_MSP=0 BLACKBIRD=1 SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=1 DETECT_MSP=0 FILTER_CROSSBAR=Hauppauge PVR USB2 AVS Crossbar FILTER_CAPTURE=Hauppauge PVR USB2 AVS Video Capture FILTER_TV_TUNER=Hauppauge PVR USB2 AVS Tuner FILTER_TV_AUDIO=Hauppauge PVR USB2 AVS TvAudio FILTER_ENCODER=Hauppauge PVR USB2 AVS Encoder PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Audio Out PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=I2S PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=656 PIN_ENCODER_I2S_IN=I2S PIN_ENCODER_656_IN=656 PIN_ENCODER_OUT=MPEG PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input Let me know how you get on.

I am using the latest Hauppauge's CD Digital 3.4 drivers. I have the Wintv USB PVR2 box. I have the latest package, which now comes with IR Blaster.
Ill try your ini and let you know

Success! After making the the ini changes as suggested by you sub, GBPVR was able to detect my hardware. I am now able to view Live TV and make manual recording, BUT 2 problems here, which I am not sure if are related or need a new thread:
1) If while viewing TV, i try to pause, hence starting time shift, then I get "Error: Failure Playing back file" 2) If my video renderer is "Overlay Manager", then the onscreen "pause" button does not work at all. I am not able to click it.

Quote:2) If my video renderer is "Overlay Manager", then the onscreen "pause" button does not work at all. I am not able to click it.There was a patch for this in the sticky 'v0.99.12 survival guide thread'.

Sub
I just reinstalled my WinTV PVR USB2 device after having it repaired by Hauppauge. I used the new install CD provided by Hauppauge on their website the 3.4 version as described by waveking in this thread. I tried the fix to the direct.ini that you suggested but gbpvr still does not see the card. Shouldn't this fix work for me too? The same kind of thing happened to me when they changed the driver name to PVR2 USB2 Bill

Can you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6
