When I hit Mute on my Microsoft MCE remote, then hit any buttons, they don't respond. When I hit mute again to get sound back, the buttons work. I don't know if this is a HIP issue, a plugin, or GB-PVR itself. Any ideas on how to narrow the scope of the problem over here?

It doesnt do it with my MCE remote, but I'm not using HIP so it may well be something to do with that.

What is the mute keystroke? It's not ^m, which responds the same as ^g.
I trained HIP for the Mute button as {@793,0,524288}. Someone posted a bunch of 32775 POST codes, and said

// Summary:
// The volume mute key (Windows 2000 or later).
VolumeMute = 173,
//
// Summary:
// The volume down key (Windows 2000 or later).
VolumeDown = 174,
//
// Summary:
// The volume up key (Windows 2000 or later).
VolumeUp = 175,

I tried those and they don't seem to do anything.

Anyone know what the keystrokes should do, or why when I mute the TV that no buttons respond?

The codes above arent familiar to me.

There is no mute function in GB-PVR, but the OemPlus and OemMinus keys are used for the volume. I'm not sure what codes these might be behind the scenes (I never see these codes anywhere).

If you have time, can you take a look at the HIPGuide? I updated it and attached a file, one of the files in the zip is a list of keys that GB-PVR is reported to process. It might be wrong in some cases, and I want to make it accurate. I got the list of keys from another thread on here.

I looked, but the codes in the the text file dont really mean anything to me (I've never seen them before). The table shown on that wiki page seem to list the correct keys though.

I have a Mute key on my keyboard and it mutes the system volume. Anyone know how to have HIP handle the message? I used Spy++ to determine it's handled by process with handle 103CEh, and generates a message id=WM_USER+100 (464h), wParam=10C00E2h, and lParam=A0191Ch. KodiakHiddenWndClass is a class in a Logitech app for my MX3200 keyboard, which displays mute, Caps Lock, Num Lock, etc. status on the screen. Eventually this app has to do something to have Windows handle muting the system volume. I don't know how that part happens.

Grabbed a program called AutoHotKey that uses AutoIt to generate scripts and EXEs. Wrote a script and converted to EXE to toggle Master Volume, then set HIP to execute the app when the Mute button is pressed. Only problem is that when volume is muted, no other buttons are processed. Is this a GB-PVR problem, or a HIP problem?

I'm guessing it must be a HIP problem. I've never seen another user post this problem with GB-PVR, and my MCE remote continues to function just fine when the system is muted here (via mute key on my Microsoft keyboard)
