Hi,

I'm reading this thread with interest...
I tried the whole suspend thing a few months ago... totally unreliable.
Now I'm upgrading from my low power mini-itx to a dual P3, suddenly getting the thing powered down when not in use is going to have a big impact on my electricity bills....

So how do we debug this? Melearp can you post your monitoring script please?

Does anyone know how wake up scheduling works? I'd assumed windows uses the Real Time Clock Alarm facility in the BIOS to trigger a wake up.
If so there's only one wake up allowed to be scheduled at a time, so if you have 2 programs trying to schedule wake ups there's potential for some to be dropped?

Or does it work differently? Anyone know?

Cheers

Steve

Sorry, it's not a script. It's a C# program that I used to learn the language (previously knowing Java). The code is not of production quality and is not suitable for use by others [no gui, not enough parameter validation.....]. So I would be foolish to release it for others because of the potential for damage in this quite delicate area. I wouldn't want to be responsible for your system permanently sleeping or some such catastrophe.
