Hi there... while having GBPVR up and doing whatever, it randomly brings up a IR controller found prompt which is annoying. It doesn't seem to affect GBPVR at all ... just annoying. Device manager shows my Hauppauge 1600 working fine, no conflicts, etc. I have version GBPVR 0.99.12... Seems like there's different software trying to access that same memory block.. any idea what would be causing the IR controller found prompt?

"Faulting application Ir.exe, version 2.52.25046.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x10002b16."

This ir.exe process that is faulting is not a GB-PVR file. This message is being generated by Hauppauge software. GB-PVR isnt aware of this process, and doesnt interact with it, so whatever is causing this to happen is occuring outside of GB-PVR. Sorry, I know thats not super helpful, but it might help you narrow your search.

maybe I'm doing something wrong with setting up the GBPVR software... as I had to choose the IR.exe file to be able to use my hauppauge remote.

You shouldn't have to choose that. Where did you choose that? You should only have to choose remote type "Hauppauge", and then click "Fix Hauppauge remote settings" for the type of remote you have (34 or 45 button).

drrr... ok that made my remote work w/o choosing the IR.exe file. When I was setting up the tuner under capture sources>edit capture source "hauppauge 1600">Channel Changer... i thought i needed to configure that as well...I changed it from .exe changer plugin to "no channel changer required"...remote works after resetting the remote like you said... now we'll see if that gets rid of the annoying IR prompt.

No, thats for using an IR Blaster for controlling an external set top box. I'm not sure what trying to run ir.exe there would do. Hopefully putting it back to 'no channel changer' has corrected you problem.
