Do a play all, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log after the first song completes and I'll take a look.

You're going to have to bite the bullet one of these days and update your tags. Even for players that don't use the tags to catalog, most do use them to show what's playing, title, artist, album, cover art, etc. I have 235gigs of mp3 files and you're right, it did take months and months to get them all correct. I've since learned to update tag info before i put something into the collection.

See if setting <UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>false</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio> in config.xml makes any difference.

It works for most people without that setting. I dont know why its not working for you.

Glad you got it going though.

I had this issue too. Going to try the setting trick above.

As for ID3 tags I find switching over to the Linux box and using: "Audio Tag Tool", "Ex Falso", and "Easy Tag" to be MIRACLES! Regardless though sometimes/somepeople just find it better to organize their music their way. Death to ID3 Tag Spammers!

It works!

setting the

<UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>false</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio> in config.xml

does the trick. I think it has something to do with the version of media player but oh well it goes.

hey you can make id3 tags automatically with this program gets most of them right faster than doing it one by one plus it downloads covers if you want the flashy thing going on
it makes the tags from file name or other options aswell
you can do multiple files at once
its called monkey magic (free)
