Hi,
I hope someone can help with this, Recently when I select a program to record from the TV guide, the program records but when the program ends, the recording service says its still recording, so I restart the recording service and all is well again, but if I try and play the file it has just recorded nothing happens, I have checked the file and it is 0 file size.

This doesn`t happen all the time but when it does it can be frustrating.

Any ideas?

Also is there anyway to get these files to play or have they just not recorded.

Thanks

Pete

Zip and attach the logs, and the details of what recording had problems and I'll take a look.

If they 0 bytes long, then there is no video to play.

When this next happens can you check the task manager process list to see if GBPVRRecordingService.exe is running?

Also worth checking the Windows Event Viewer to see if any recording service crash events were noted.

Hi Sub,
I will do, I`ve just checked windows event viewer and it gave this message just before the recording should have started

"The GB-PVR Recording Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s)."

Any ideas on how to stop it in the future, A re-install maybe??

Thanks

Do you think it could be a problem with the mux I`m using? could it be worth trying a different version?

Thanks for any advice

Yes, it died in the mux you're using. Try upgrading to a newer version. Remember to deregister this old on though, since it'll use the first one registered if multiple are on your machine.
