Few problems with v0.99.12

gbpvr is the only decent PVR software that is somewhat working. But I've had a few strange problems. I setup everything following a guide I found on the internet for the Hauppage PVR-150. If I start the program from my desktop, clicking on the icon, the remote works, but when I go to LiveTV it says I didn't update my program guide, and I need to do that in the config. No matter how many times I updated it, it wouldn't work. But I found out if I started gbpvr from the tray icon, it would let me go to Live TV, but the remote didn't work. Also when I change channels it doesn't make my dish network receiver change channels. But I tried the HaupBlast.exe with command line and it changes the channel on the receiver.

It seems like if I start it from the desktop it loads different settings. But it uses the same exe either way, I checked. I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate also. Any ideas?

This is most likely because of some of the file protection stuff that Vista tries to do, and generally getting in the way.

Try deleteing "c:\users\<your name>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz\". Then run the config app as administrator, make sure you capture sources are still setup, then ok out of the config app and try GBPVR.exe again. "AppData" is a hidden directory, but its there.
