I have a .avi with an associated .sub and .idx - how can I get GB-PVR to support them automatically? Or is that a wishlist question...

GB-PVR has no built in support for this type of subtitle file, but they might work for you if your have DirectVobSub installed.

find a convertor that will convert them to srt subs and gb will play them..

I found a perl script that converts automatically sub->srt but it appears to not actually work. I found something else that does a conversion but it asks a ton of questions about OCRing, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to spend an hour answering OCR questions for an hour long video.... So I thought I'd ask direct here.

You can also download the srt subtitles from the Internet. http://www.videohelp.com has the links somewhere. It might be in the forum portion.
