Hey all, i just installed GB-PVR instead of sageTv, and i am really impressed. However i stumbled upon a few problems.
I have a Hauppage PVR-350 tv-tuner card

1. I have a HOME button on my remote, is it possible to remap it so it launches gb-pvr instead of wintv ?

2. Is it possible to play divX and Xvid files in the gb-pvr user interface?

3. Major problem, when i change channel in livetv mode, sometimes it freezes the whole computer! It totallt stalls. but it only happens sometimes, really weird?

4. And does anyone know how to enable auto-login in windows? so i dont have to type username and password when the computer starts?

It depends, what type of remote do you have?

Yes, but you need to have the apprioriate directshow filters installed. This only works if you are using software decoding. It will not work with the tv out on the PVR350.

This happens for some people. I'm still looking at it.

I have this remote also, but I cant see a home key. Do you mean the one labelled 'go'? You can edit the hauppauge irremote.ini to get this key to launch GB-PVR. I'm not sure of the exact details, but there are examples of most things in irremote.ini. Be warned though, I'm using this key for something else in the next release, so dont get too used to it.

BTW, I edited my response immediately after my post, but you seem to have already read it. Specifically on the xvid/divx:

aww damn, so if i use software decoding i will need a Graphic Card in order to watch divx and xvid movies on my TV? Well i was planning on that anyways.... but thanks for the great support [Image: smile.gif]

to get autologin working, dl tweakui from microsoft (just google it and get the right version for your os.)

It works fine. Then I put GB-PVR in the startup menu, and viola! my wife doesnt have to touch anything if the system somehow crashes on her. (which it hasnt yet! ) [Image: biggrin.gif]

go to start -> run and type in CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2

and uncheck the first option in the new window

For the freeze when changing channels thing I've found that the PVR350 drivers aren't very multi-processor friendly. I'd try disabling any extra cpus or hyperthreading and see if it helps.
