changed default to 29.97 but the log still shows 25. is there any way to override the detected value with 29.97?

(Edited to say I also changed the default to 29.97 in config.xml, but still had the same problem.)

Yep. That fixed it for me, even after changing the DefaultFPS back to 25. (I tried it both ways...)

patch worked for me. log now shows frameRate = 29.97 and comm breaks are correct.

Thank you Sub and fe2o3 for finding and fixing it, sounds like you found the issue. I just installed the patch and am testing but sounds like you got it. I'll let you know if it resolves it here too.

Resolved the issue here, thank you! I ASSumed the answer would not be found in the logs, so I learned a lesson. Brilliant thinking that it was the FPS, makes perfect sense because that's about how much it was off by.

Sub, after the patch I see a small bug. First time a video is played (no resume position set) the timeline will not show the commercial breaks and not skip commercials. If you exit the video and play it a second time then the timeline appears with commercials and they are skipped properly. Have seen this on the last couple of videos played. If you need logs I am happy to send them.
