User Wrote:First time a video is played (no resume position set) the timeline will not show the commercial breaks and not skip commercials. If you exit the video and play it a second time then the timeline appears with commercials and they are skipped properly.

same thing here. can't remember if this happened before the patch.

Commercials displayed last few times properly the first time, problem has not reappeared. Will keep an eye on it.

edit:
Spoke too soon, saw it again. Seems to happen when first file is played after an MVP reboot.

Thanks Sub, the patch fixed the jumping, but you have to play the file, get out of the file and get in again to get the comskip working.

It seems to work here first time I try. Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Here you go sub, I reproduced it. Search for "playFile(Gene" in the MVP-PVRX2.exe.log file. First instance played the recording and I hit the blue button and timeline showed no commercials. I then exited playing the file and restarted it and hit the blue button and the commercials appeared and commercials were skipped. Let me know if you need anything else, thanks.

Does it just happen on the MVP for you?

Does the PVRX2 on the PC show commercials first try?

I'll have to make a new recording to test it. I just tested the same file on the PC X2 and it showed commercials first try. However, from the limited times I have seen this on the MVP, once a resume point has been set (previously watched file) then the commercials seem to show every subsequent viewing of the same file. So I'll make a new recording and test it in PC X2 first and get back to you.

Made a new recording and let it finish going through comskip, I then played it on X2 PC and it showed commercials first time. I then resumed the recording over on the MVP and it also showed commercials.
So it seems from my limited testing it happens on the first play on the MVP.
My other theory is that it's the first play of a new recording on the first power up of the MVP. I'll keep looking for that one.

I have it nailed down as to when this occurs Sub. I am running with the patch you posted here:
http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=5

Procedure:
Turn on MVP and play any file that comskip has been run on.
Hit Blue button and timeline does not show commercials.
Exit this file and restart play.
Hit blue button and commercials are there.

It does not matter if the recording has been played before or not. The key circumstance here is that it is the first file played after the MVP has been turned on. Subsequent playing of files shows the commercials.

Not a big deal, easily gotten around. If you want more logs or info let me know, I am glad to help.
