Hi, still using V0.99.12 until I can find some free time to upgrade.

Somehow over the weekend I've manged to turn subtitle display on for recorded TV shows (some I recorded several weeks ago, so it must have been capturing SRT all the time, even though I don't recall ever configuring this!) and now I can't find out how to turn them off.

I've tried the obvious settings on the Config / Misc screen - no change - and the Yellow button doesn't do it either.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

If you cant turn if off, then it might be because you have directvobsub installed. Its a directshow filter that inserts itself into other applications to display SRT subtitles automatically.

Ah that's probably it - I installed AutoGordianKnot to do some transcoding of DVDs to MPEG4s (to save space on the HD) - it installed a lot of filters and I suspect this may have been among them.

I'll uninstall it and see what happens - thanks very much for the quick response, and for your work on GBPVR itself - it's excellent and my donation will be on its way this week :-)

Removing the VobSub filter fixed it. Now I can turn subtitles on and off from the yellow key.

Thanks for this, and for the answer to my other post - donation just made in appreciation of all your hard work, and a fantastic product :-)
