Just installed the new 1.0.8. Great work but I have 2 issues with the new pvrx2 exe...

1.The esc key no longer takes me to the main menu. The program just flickers a bit when I push it.

2. The osd doesn't appear onmouseover in live tv or recorded shows. Keyboard shortcuts don't seem to work here either. The only way out is to close gbpvr. I tried overlay manager mode but it didn't help.

Logs attached.

MSI ATI Theater 550 Pro

I'm not really sure. I'm not seeing this here, and there is no obvious error in your logs.

Is this on the primary monitor?

Darn, was hoping for an easy fix. Sad

I only have the one monitor so yes, this is the primary monitor.

Any other thoughts on this matter?

I was reading elsewhere on the forum that pvrx2 only uses vmr9. In the previous version I could never get the osd to show using the vmr9 setting. I had to use vmr7. Could this be why I'm having these difficulties? What could prevent the osd from showing with vmr9?

This is happening because you're using an a version of the Cyberlink decoder which is incompatible with VMR. When this happens, it ends up adding a second video renderer to the graph, causing the OSD to be mixing on the wrong renderer, ie no OSD displayed.

Try another decoder. A decent free one that works with VMR9 can be found at: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

Alternatively, some versions of the Cyberlink decoder look for an EnabledVMR9=1 registry setting to enable support for VMR. If you google for this you should find details about where this registry is created and what versions of the decoder it works with.

OK, thanks sub. I installed that MPV decoder... and osd with vmr9 is now working in gbpvr.exe but is only partially working in pvrx2. I get the show title & description but the channel change and exit buttons are still a no show. Also the problem with the esc key still remains.

At least we're making progress Smile Any other suggestions?

This is normal. There is no clickable OSD buttons during video playback at this stage. I use the remote not the mouse, so they're lower on my priority list and didnt make it into this first version of the new user interface. They'll return in the next release.

It works for me. Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Alright, I wasn't aware of that.

I figured out whats causing my esc key woes. I have a disability and I'm unable to use a standard keyboard... instead I use an on screen keyboard called Click-n-type. http://cnt.lakefolks.com It has a feature called auto-click where I just hover or dwell over the keys for a certain amount of time with the mouse and it automatically clicks them. For some reason pvrx2 refuses to recognize the esc key command when activated with this method. As a test, I asked someone to push esc on the standard keyboard... this worked properly. Whats odd is all the other keys I activate with click-n-type function just fine in pvrx2.

Any idea what the problem could be sub? Do you still want my logs again?
