I installed a PC client over the weekend and the server seem to be unable to tune correctly for my Hauppauge 150 card. My HVR3000 still works fine with Freeview and DVB EPG.

I use the 150 to tune to Triangle (Ch.47) and Prime (Ch.59) as well as TV2 & TV3 (no EPG but for backup recording only).

The Hauppauge WinTV2000 works fine on all the channels but GBPVR seem to only show the last used channel regardless of whether it any of the 4 above that I switch to.

The enclosed log show me trying to switch to Prime. For some reason the log indicates its trying to tune to Ch.60 instead of 59.

I've completed remove the 150 capture source and readded it but it still won't work properly.

I'm completely stumped. Have anyone seen this before? Did installing the PC client and the windows networking on the server cause this?

Had another play with switching channels. See logs below. It looks like GBPVR can't switch from Ch.7 even though WinTV2000 works fine.

Any ideas what's causing this?

Definitely on antenna. Cable doesn't receive anything at all.

I have the same card. Just my 2 cents though I think may not be the same problem. I have problem tuning this card also. The channel number in Win TV and GBPVR is not the same* ! I dont' know why. So after trying, I thought of starting WintTV and GBPVR tuning assistant. I then let tuning assistant run through the channel while i watch it display on WinTV. It then worked !

*In my location, I have channel 5 but it's not channel 5 on GBPVR. It's 101. Channel 8 is 104.

Both Tuning Assistant and WinTV2000 both work fine and both tuners have been working until I installed a client GBPVR and shared the database.

I'm beginning to believe that sharing the database may have corrupted something.

so if you set the tuning assistant set to: cable, new zealand ,pvr150 you get nothing if i do that with mine i get all stations
if i select antenna i get tv1 andtv2 and nothing anything higher(frequencies are different in hamilton to auckland)
very strange that mine works on my pvr150 and a pver500 at the same time using cable and yours doesnt

Its worth noting CH.47 and CH.59 would not be a valid channel numbers for NZ with the tuning type set to Antenna, since this channel table only has channels 2-11.

As suggested above, I'd recommend trying the Cable tuning type, since that will scan a wider set of frequencies.

It its trying to tune CH.60, then I'm sure you'll have "60" next to that channel in one of your capture sources.

It definitely did work before. Any idea why its been working for these channels since May and just stopped working over the weekend then when I installed a client GBPVR 99.12? That's what really puzzles me.

Switched to cable and Tuning Assistant can't find Ch.47 and 59 but got them on Ch.242 and 316. Will update my config after my current recording to see if it works.

Ch.60 was default when adding a channel. I added one accidentally and deleted it but it kept coming back after an EPG update, even after removing the capture source and redoing it again. Where in the database is it picking it up from?

do a scan with cable selected
note down where the cahnnels are
then add those to the channel names after updating from your xmltv file or how ever you add your epg data
i think there is another way to add them but this is how i have always done it with good results
