ok, I finally got almost all the parts in for the computer and got it all setup.

I've spent an hour configuring gbpvr and what not, and I got the guide to display, and properly selected tuner etc.
When I go to live tv, it gives the following message: "Error: failure playing back file"

I have tried looking this up online, but no luck.
Also, if it helps, right now I am trying to just setup getting HD channels OTA with a twinhanDTV ATSC card (people said this works etc, and I dont think it's the card).

My pvr150 isnt in yet, so I havent setup the cable/sattelite part of my system yet, so I am focusing on the hdtv part.

To get to where I am now, I followed the instructions on http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource

Anyways, I've attached my log files, if it helps.
thanks

Unfortunately those instructions are no longer accurate. It changed about a year ago, but no kind soul has updated the wiki yet. You need to use the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button to scan for channels instead of manually entering the T:xx,xx,xx format.

should I remove all of the tuning requests I listed? (should i just remove all channels and reupdate the epg, then map it all?)

Right now i have it set to how I had it after following that guide, and when I click map it doesnt find any channels. I have my HD antenna plugged into the antenna coax connection on the card (there is a cable connection as well on the card, but I think the antenna one is the correct one to use)
thanks

Probably best to delete and recreate your capture source. If it doesnt find any channels, zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

thanks for the help so far sub.
I got it running, so now there are channels found.

I didnt quite understand how to actually map it though, aka telling it which channel is which.
The enable boxes are unchecked, and tuning request are blank. When I click enable and click ok, it doesnt save (probally because the tuning is blank)

Any more help is appreciated.
I've attached a screen.
thanks

You need to click in the tuning request column for each channel you want to enable, then select the channel it maps to.

ya i was just about to post I figured that out.

Ok so now I got channels to show, but only issue I have left is that I cant get sound. But if I go and play a music file via gbpvr, it works fine.
Any ideas?

also, I did a recording and it looks great, but it doesnt have any sound either (even if I play it with media player instead of gbpvr)

Also, it's 2.59 gigs for a 30 min show!!

This is most likely because you dont have an audio decoder capable of decoding AC3.
