failure playing back file

Some people have had problems like this with AC3filter, but most dont. I saw a theory that this related to the soundcard or it's drivers, since it provides the clock used for all multimedia timing. I have no idea how you'd fix it though.

Maybe try uninstalling ac3filter and try a different ac3 capable decoder. No, I cant recommend a free one for you.
