Hey Guys,

I am releasing the first full version release of ComTweak today. Please post any suggestions or problems on this thread in order to keep things easy to find.

Thanks!

Thanks, HydroChronic! I'm excited about this release. Unfortunately, I'm not able to get it to work. I installed the plugin, but whatever button I press, I get this message on the screen:

Method not found: 'Int32 GbpvrUiElements.List.get_SelectedIndex()'.

In the logs, it looks like this:

Code:
2007-07-18 07:53:27.864    ERROR    [1]    Error: msg=0x100 (WM_KEYDOWN) hwnd=0x1204e8 wparam=0x27 lparam=0x14d0001 result=0x0  :  System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Int32 GbpvrUiElements.List.get_SelectedIndex()'.

   at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m)

Any ideas? Do you need more info from me to diagnose?

Thanks,
Eric

Do you have GBPVR UI Elements package installed from the wiki. The link to the current version is here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Devel...UiElements
You will also need to install the CommonGBPVR Utilities package.

You are not the first person to have this kind of problem and I think I have a solution to it. There are a few bugs I have already picked up on through my own testing, so I will make an additional release very soon in order to correct all these problems.

I apparently had an older version of the UI Elements. I installed the latest version and it seems to work now. I don't quite have the hang of the program yet, so I may wait for your next release and try again. Thanks!

What is stopping you from "getting the hang" of the program? I want to try to make it as simple as possible to start using the plugin, so any suggestions as to things you dont understand, etc. would be very helpful.

I have posted an updated version of ComTweak 1.0. This corrects a few small issues including; installing GBPVR UI Elements and GBPVR Common Utilities along with the plugin; adding a button to setup Hauppauge's IR32 software to work with ComTweak's Internal Player.

I have also added a new Upcoming Feature: allowing ComTweak's Internal Player to be controled without it having focus.

This is a very busy week, so I have only a little time to try this right now. It's likely that things are simple and I just didn't read the directions, but I wasn't sure how to edit the existing commercial blocks. I opened a file that comskip had already processed and I needed to tweak the commercials it detected, but I wasn't sure how. Again, I only tried this very very quickly, so it may be quite obvious and I just missed it. Thanks for writing this plugin -- I'm sure when I have time to give it a proper try (probably next week), things will go smoothly.

Can this tool be used to tweak the comskip.ini file so that I can have a personalized ini based on how my broadcasts are here. Thanks

I understand ecorbin, its been kinda busy around here too. Surprised I actually had time to make a release. Let me know if anything still seems vague after you've had some time to play with it. I tried to make the interface as straight forward as possible without making buttons with huge words like "commercial" in their labels.

No this does not customize comskip.ini for you. This plugin simply gives you an interface to manually mark commercials in a recording. I dont even know how I would go about generating personalized comskip.ini files, seeing as I can't even get my own comskip.ini file to work on all the channels.
