Volume control problem using Hauppauge remote with PVRX2 and GBPVR

PVRX2, GBPVR, and the Hauppauge remote have been displaying some flaky behavior since the recent upgrade.

Most times (not always) the mute button will not work with GBPVR, and the down volume button will not work with PVRX2.

Does anyone have any idea where I should start looking for problems? I have done the “Fix Hauppauge Remote Setting” from the configuration utility. The only change to irremote.ini was to comment out GRNPOWER={run(C:\Progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\PVRX2.exe)}
and add
GRNPOWER={run(C:\Progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\PVRX2.exe)}{sleep(2000)}{findwnd(,GB-PVR)}{fgnwnd()}.

Any advice would be very welcome.

Using the remote – when PVRX2 has focus the volume can be increased, but not decreased. When PVRX2 does not have focus the volume can be decreased, but not increased.

I cant reproduce this here. I can increase and decrease the volume.

If GB-PVR doesnt have the focus, then what application is changing that volume? It sounds like you've probably got some non-standard settings in your irremote.ini that is handling volume itself.

The only programs that have used irremote.ini are WinTv2000 and GBPVR. I have made some changes under the [default] settings. But that’s all.

Any ideas?

I'm no expert in the rules for the [default] section (I dont use it myself), but sure your problem is in there somewhere:

While playing back paused TV, the volume buttons function correctly, but not with live TV

Yes, it works as expected.

Its definitely somewhere in irremote.ini or the ir.exe then, since these are just supposed to send fake key presses to GB-PVR.
