It being a long time since i started trying to configure GBPVR to work with my card, but still cant get it. I ussually get obsessioned for 1 week, and then i leave it for 2 months so when i get back on the job, i have to start from the begging.

Going to the point, i'm getting bad image quality (colors seems to be out sync). I attach a screenshot as an example. I dont have this problem with WinTV2000 and when i open lastgraph.grf I manage to get it OK after touching some Capture settings: Video Standard to PAL-N and opening and accepting without change the properties of the output pin (cant understand what it changes).

My system is Win XP Pro SP2, ATI Radeon 9200, Hauppauge PVR150 MCE. I live in Argentina, so I need PAL-N standard (i have set it in the direct.ini file, using ForceStandard=1024, but i dont know if that the correct value).

Thanks in advance!!
Gsas.

Does this only happen with live tv? Try setting the deinterlacing to 'encoder passthrough'. I see you have it set to 'none', which can cause wierd effects from some users/

Thanks for the quick answer.

Yes, it only happens with Live TV. When I set "encoder passthrough" i get no image or sound. Also when I open the lastgraph, it's broken: no connection between the Capture and Encoder filters (it should be using pin 656).

Reproduce this, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Here i attach my new logs & lastgraph.

I also noticed that if i play radio and then go back to live tv, i get right image & sound. But if then i close and go back, i have no image nor sound again.

Thanks again.

As a starting point I'd recommend explicitly selecting your audio and video decoder rather than relying on 'system default', which effectively lets Window pick some random decoder.

If you dont have a video decoder, other than the ffdshow one it appears to be using in the logs, then try the decoder from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

I've tryed with all of this Video Decoders:

-InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder
-InterVideo Video Decoder
-CyberLink Video/SP Decoder
-Nero Video Decoder
-GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder
-MPV Decoder Filter
-ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder

but i dont see any change. In every case, setting Deinterlace to "Encoder Pass Throught" gives me no image or sound. Choosing any other Deinterlace option, gives me the image of the first post.

Which of those decoders should i be using?

Set it to use 'MPV Decoder Filter' then reproduce the problem and repost the logs and I'll take a look.

Unfortunately there is nothing obvious in the logs.

Have you tried with the audio renderer set to 'system default'? This is responsible for timing, and having it explicitly set to something else has caused problems for some users in the past. Worth a try.
