Thank you for that, but I do have a lot of knowledge how most programs work and know how to strip a computer and put it back together again, because I tend to read a lot about them.

I will try this program again later, and will most probably fathom it out but it would be much nicer to have some sort of set-up help files included in the program.

How would anybody know that you would have to
"select add capture device bda recording device" in configuration set-up. Where does it tell you this in the program. I am a person that presses every button until I find out what it does because I know I can fix the problem if one occurs, but without any help files at all you can't press a button or add things you can't see or know about.

http://www.gbpvr.com/pmwiki/
this is the link for the wiki all the info you may have missed

this will give you more info if you havent already been there
although i find it more confusing half the time im more try and see sort of guy rather than read

another problem is that is program and others like it are made to work with so many different cards and the program is evolving all the time meaning that the documentation cant keep up as it not a finished program but rather something that is getting changed all the time
where as your card came with a disc that is specific for that card
this program is written by one guy called Sub you will see him on the forums he has probably even answered some of your questions
where else do you get that sort of support for free
so yes you are right the documentation isnt probably as good as it could be but me personaly rather he spent his time making the program better than writing how to guides
just trying to explain why its where its at

I think you are very patient stustunz, and I do really appreciate the input you have given me. I do like to try free programs and nearly always donate when I find them helpful as I did with Fastone products which are free.

I write websites as well and it is confusing on the download page, having to download the zip file first, especially for somebody wanting to try the product, without any explanation to why they need to download it. It mentions about people that are updating. if I remember correctly.

Also I have read and seen Wiki mentioned but never did find exactly where it is, even after putting it in the search box.

I think Sub who wrote the program is fantastic because he does it because like me he enjoys doing it. Everything I have written for people has been free and the support I give to local people with their computers is also free.

I am not just a person that takes without giving back. I just want simple get it going help files the rest I will find out for myself.

Thank you for the link.

The link is now in my favourites and it is what I have been looking for. The information in there is enough for me to read, and certainly get me to know how this program works.

Have been looking at the wiki page and wondered why it wasn't mentioned earlier. Have made my own help files now in a folder on my computer. It was interesting and I still have tons more to read. The quick start was excellent and later I will test it all out to see if I can follow it all.

I was able to capture scrolling screens to make it easier for me. Another little free program I use also is ieSpell to check my spelling before posting with just a right click.
