And thanks for the reccomendation, think i might get one of those, you will probably notice if you search "kworld" on these forums theres just no end of people with problems, it was only cheap when i bought it anyway so its time to pay for something decent

I bought one from amazon and one from ebuyer.com but can't find it on their sites now (only had a quick look mind).
scan.co.uk has some in stock, and there's always brick 'n' mortar shops like PC world etc. Item number: 970228 - don't know what the 'special edition' means tho :confused:

I'm getting this error message too and there are errors in the logs. I left the default setting of "Use live preview mode if possible" disabled.

I enter the PVRX2 interface and select Live TV. The screen turns black and I get kicked back to the main menu.

The legacy interface says "Starting timeshift mode TV. Please wait." then I get the error message "Error: Failure playing back file."

In either case, the recording starts and ~1MB file is created in my live TV buffer folder. I can play the file in WMP and it contains 2 seconds of video. Also, recordings playback no problem.

Now, if I go in and check use live preview mode. Live TV works.

It looks like something I'm using is unregistering the GB-PVR filters because that happened before and it was one of the many reasons I restored a backup image. But I still had the same problem -> :eek:
