Very new user trying to figure this out (urgently)

SO, I went to gbpvr.com, etc and clicked download. I believe I was taken to a forum

I clicked the first link, ran it AND MY COMPUTER JUST IMMEDIATELY SHUTDOWN, then went through the boot process. As soon as I clicked the file, my screen went blank everything- first thought - virus, but just thought I would continue.'

I preceded to download and run second file, all went well.

Now I rebooted, I clicked on GB-PVR, and clicked LIVE TV and I get
"No channels have been set up. Please run the configuration utility...Use update EPG... etc"

So I right click on the "G" icon in my system tray icon, and I click "start config" - how ON EARTH do I set up channels :confused: ?

Because now, when I click on my ATI bar on the far right, I get an error, TV cannot be started. That isn't a problem because I can just system restore, but I really want this to work.

Oh and, this is free software right, not some trial thing that I shouldn't bother getting set up because it will quit in less time than it will take me to adventure it?

My computer:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.19GHZ
ATI Radeon Xpress 200
1.5 GB RAM (upgraded from 1gb)
250gb HD
Tuner:
ATI-TV Wonder VE 400 - yes it is ancient, but as long as it gets the job done... (PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME IT WORKS ON MY CARD!!!)

Go to Start , all programs, gbpvr, config.

There is a tab to set up your capture source, which is where your channels will get defined.

My card doesn't seemed to be detected:

Pick your card out of the list. Often it’s best to check the Only show devices detected in this machine checkbox. If your card was installed correctly, it should be detected at this stage."

It might be possible with a software recording plugin but I don't think that it is natively supported.
