I tried both the watch button and the live tv button but no joy.
Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs.

I have reinstalled the whole thing and am doing as stustunz said by getting one lot working then the next...

When I first installed it would not gather the EPG info for Freeview(UK) but this time round I have a full EPG on the DVB-T side.

I have now scanned on the DVB-S side also and found all the channels but it was getting very late by this time and had to sleep.
Tonight I will continue the update the EPG for the Sat side and let you know what happens.

Regards

I have managed to include channels from both DVB-T & S and got the EPG to link to all the channels!! I was very happy to see that working.

Alas I am still having problems watching and recording at the same time using the HVR-3000.

When using the guide I can set a channel in T recording, move to the S channels press to watch, the screen will blink and return to the guide.

One thing I did notice was it no longer tells me that I don't have another tuner. I guess this is due to the EPG being good like stustunz said.

I have included my latest log if it helps.

Please, let me know if you need any more details.

Many thanks

Can you attach a complete set of logs?

Does enabling live preview mode in the config app help?

Are you positive both tuners can be used at the same time? Have you been able to confirm this with any other software (Hauppauge WinTV or other)?

I know the analog tuner is independent of the DVB-S tuner, but I'm not sure whether the DVB-T tuner is shared with either the DVB-S tuner or the analog tuner, which will have an impact on whether the DVB-S and DVB-T features can be used at the same time.

I have not tried any other software except yours.

I will have to try installing the WinTV software this evening and see what happens.

I bought this card after reading 'Dual DVB Only Cards' on your wiki... I did a bit more searching on the web at the time and someone else had said they got both T & S at the same time. I will let you know what happens, you might have to change your wiki...

Hi Sub,

Sorry for very late reply, I have tried the hvr-3000 with all different software and have been unable to receive both dvb-t & dvb-s at the same time.

You might want to change your wiki to reflect this, reading the knowledge base was not very knowlegable for me and has wasted both my time and money.

I urge you to change this soon so others don't fall into the same pit, this card is being sold quite vigurously at the moment here in the UK for about £80. At this pricepoint it does seem quite a good buy esp when looking on this site.

For he moment I will return to my Sagem twin dvb-t(damn), works very well and doesn't upset me everytime I turn the bugger on.

Regards
