does it run ok with multiple cds at once, ie taking one out, putting another in. or is it taking ages when a cd is changed?

no problem at all, i've just ran through 5 cd in a few seconds each.
But another question. Do you block the cd drives for other applications somehow? After hibernation i always get a message in a window call desktop (translated form german) "access to drive, path or file was denied". Any idea with that. i've only installed gbprv with our plugin on my pc. and the plugin is the only one which access the cds at the moment, except the autorun (which is not working anymore)

the freedb code im using is producing some wierd side effects when its calculating the disc id (which is used for the freedb lookup), on my development machine it takes about 1min for the drive to become free again after each cd lookup, this is probably the same thing thats effecting the hibernation. its on my todo list, but its really hard to find code to do a freedb/cddb lookup (and im far to lazy to program this myself, its a lot of work).

ok nice to know. the only problem with it is that i have to write back an image of my pc each time it happens. Because i can't get rid of the error. even after a restart it's there.
But ok. you said you were looking for other freedb code. Maybe you should take a look in the cvs tree of http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/ how they handle it

found another one for you with many application samples and of course the source

look at http://www.freedb.org/modules....rtid=27
especially you should look at AKRip, cddbcomp and uFREEDB as they should also work with CDExtra

and once again some words from me after testing around whole day.

The problem with the broken AudioCD access has nothing to do with the freedb lookup. I've started with a fresh installation and then tested your plugin and nothing happend to my cd drives. But then i installed dbpoweramp v11, used it once (as standalone without gbpvr), did a reboot and my windows was killed again.
For me another reason not to use dbpoweramp. Maybe you could really switch to another ripper.

the ripper was even harder to find than the freedb code. theres not many cd rippers that can rip to mp3 in one step, without the need of WAVE files. if you find one, ill look into it. but dbpoweramp is a really good ripper (well usually) and i can access it directly in the program without the need of command line arguments (which is rare).

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] (reven @ Feb. 03 2005,02:37)]xtoph can you try the newest version of the my music, vids to see if they work? the latest my videos is the one i posted a few days ago with the change in the configuration so the settings woudlnt be lost in the upgrade to gbpvr v0.90x
They both work for me in general. However, I noticed a problem with "My Videos". The path for DVD Decryptor is not saved properly. On my system this program is instelld on drive g:, but it shows up to be on c:. I corrected this manually and will give it another try right now. Keep your fingers crossed.

Great work, in particular the DVD burning stuff!

Also, "c:\temp\temp.iso" seems to be hard-coded somewhere.
