I don't have a firewall installed, and windows says that the windows firewall is off...Maybe there is something in my satellite modem, I think that has a mini proxy of sorts. I'll dig into that.

Edit: according to my modem, its internal firewall is disabled, but there always could be something in the way on the satellite side...Is there anything specifically different about this connection that my ISP might be blocking? Is there a web address I can try to manually access to get some more information?

You could try to download the xmltv client from xmltv.org and see if it can download the listings.

xmltv works, I'll just use that. Thanks for the tip

I upgraded to 1.0.16 and applied the patch. I emptied my EPG for each source and updated each source. While updated the EPG, the display still reads that it is coming from Zap2It. I got the correct data in my EPG. Is the Zap2It is the display window normal or is something wrong?

I have yet to really take a look at it, but IIRC sub used basically the same exact method to get the SD EPG as he used for Zap2it (excepting a couple structure differences), he might have forgotten to change some stuff. if your EPG is good, then I would just let it slide... but remember to check your logs after sep 1st, and make sure that it is still updating correctly Smile

Just converted to SD and at first everything looked OK. However, I noticed that my recurring recording were being deleted after they ended. New entries are being recorded and processed OK.

My initial tests indicate that the recordings are being deleted when my postprocessing.bat runs. I am using comskip and an old version of rename recordings. Seems like there may be some discontinuity between the old and new epg data possibly related to the episode name. I may have to reenter all my recording requests. I will do some more testing tonight.

Has anyone else experienced this?

some people were mentioning that rename recordings was not working. I know zrename works.

Sub responded earlier in the thread that this is the expected behavior.

Looked through the different errors that people were getting and didn't see the exact error that I'm getting after switching to SD:

Code:
2007-08-30 12:56:15.219    VERBOSE    [3]    getValue: /settings/SchedulesDirectURL : http://webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com/schedulesdirect/tvlistings/xtvdService

I did apply the patch (twice in fact, just to make sure) and rebooted the entire machine, just for good measure. The 500 internal server error seems to be on the SD side, but wanted to get your take on it.

Nevermind, please disregard my previous post. Turns out I'm a bit slow and didn't have an actual listing selected at Schedules Direct. The Zap-2-It icon does not indicate you have a listing selected, so duh it was returning an error as there was nothing to pull.

Just ignore me while I hang my head in shame.
