The HVR-3000 is twin-tuner, but only has one DVB demodulator. If you tune to DVB-T, it's used for that, if you tune to DVB-S, it's used for satellite instead. If you have a -T stream going and try to tune to a -S stream at the same time, the -T stream will continue and the -S stream will refuse to start, and vice versa.

In effect it's a single tuner card, but that tuner can do satellite, analog TV or terrestrial digital.

It is, however, a very nice card, and it can pick up BBC HD off Astra 28.2 Smile

It does have two tuners (at least the HVR-4000 does), and is able to do analog and dvb-s at the same, but I suspect you're right that it cant do dvb-t and dvb-s at the same time. We dont have dvb-t here, so this isnt something I've been able to test myself.

I thought you can't use the analogue mode with GBPVR because it doesn't have a hardware encoder. That's why I only use the HVR3000 for DVB and another card PVR150 for analogue.

Yeah, thats correct - I was just commenting on the physical capabilities of the hardware, not its suitability for use as an analog tuner for use with GB-PVR.
