Am I still receiving data from Zap2it?

September 1st came and went and, being the procrastinator that I am, I figured I'd have 14 days of EPG data before I'd have to worry about upgrading to 1.0.16 and SchedulesDirect (again, sheer procrastination on my part!).

Each day since then I've checked my guide data and I've had a full 14 day's worth of data... is this even possible? I haven't checked yet today but as of yesterday evening I had EPG data (from Zap2it) through 09/17.

Don't get me wrong, if it's still updating then I'm a happy camper -- less work for me to do -- but I'm curious to know how this is possible if 09/01 was indeed the drop-dead date for Zap2it?

They killed the zap2it server data feed and DNS entries yesterday afternoon.

If you happen to have the DNS entries cached on you machine, then it might still be able to contact the zap2it servers for a short period of time, but there will be no new data available through them.

Thanks sub -- I figured that there had to be a logical explanation! I do have an account with SD so I guess it's time to bite the bullet and make the switch...
